RULES FOR LIVING

HOME . Adolescents are at highest risk for experimentation with illegal drugs and alcohol and may stray into other destructive and self-defeating behaviors. They need strong, positive guidance, presented in forms they will accept. To help them, we offer a simple code -- The Seven Rules for Living a Just Life. They were first articulated by Mr. Constantine to a class of graduating seniors at Stonehill College in Massachusetts in May 1997. They stress responsibility, self-reliance, respect for others, moral courage and community service.

THE SEVEN RULES

Integrity

Conduct yourself ethically in everything you do.

Striving

Devote yourself to self-improvement.

Service

Be humble and put the people you serve first.

Responsibility

Be decisive and stick with your decisions.

Courage

Stand up for your beliefs.

Loyalty

Family, friends, mentors -- stand by them always.

Balance

Aspire to great things, but know that they don't come easily.
